Well another day is gone, and I’ve managed to get my goal for the day. Another modest goal, to be sure, but I did manage to get it. 60,006 makes 2,431 words for the day, all of it finished right on schedule about 6 minutes before midnight. I was particularly pleased with that today because I feel like I’ve been struggling to keep my attention on the writing today. I let myself get distracted too much and too often by the chatroom, or by exchanging blog comments with Starstuff.

Still I did make it by midnight, so that counts as a win. It’s also probably a sign of just how well the story is flowing right now. Even the parts that felt like I was struggling to get through them seemed to come at around 300 words per ten minutes when I focused on them a little. I just hope I can keep that vibe, or something close to it, going through the rest of the month. That could lead to a very nice wordcount indeed.

So my evil plan didn’t work as well as intended. Oh well, there will be other days when I can try to distract you again ;) But I should probably write a script for those comments so I concentrate on my NaNo in the meantime.

    But very nice wordcount indeed.

Maybe you could get a script to post comments for you, but I doubt it would be as much fun as it is now. Although it probably would be just as well if we didn’t try to avoid spending quite as much time as we both did on comments for the rest of the month ;)

Tonight I’m pretty sure I’m going to have my hands full just trying to get to a decent wordcount in time to go to bed early. After a couple of late nights followed by early mornings I really need to catch up on my sleep for a bit, but that of course means I really shouldn’t wait until midnight to meet my wordcount goals.

Na, commenting in person is just too much fun to outsource that to a script ;)
