My last big push before what’s probably going to be a relatively slow weekend today. I set out to get 11k and I go 11k. I also did something else: I broke my record. NaNoWriMo 2006′s 120.5k is now no longer my best ever NaNoWriMo result. I didn’t even notice that until I entered my final count for the day on the site and a little lightbulb suddenly popped into existence over my head.
I’m too tired now to put much more in this post. And with over 32k over the last five days, I’m not caring too much how much I will or won’t write this weekend. Even if I keep this same score until Sunday I’ll still be well ahead of my 5k per day target going into the final week.
… but I will be a LOT closer at your heels!
11K! You should be ashamed of yourself. That means I am not going to have a weekend at all but will try to at least match you over the next two days. My eyes are already starting to turn into rectangles…
Well if it’s any consolation I’m feeling pretty “written out” at this point. Though that may change when I get a new toy the do the writing with. Still with 54k under my belt in the last 7 days I’m not sure how much inspiration I have left right now.
The less, the better for me … selfish, I know. But then we would be back to the “NaNo is war” thing. This is going to haunt you forever *gg*
