Voices of Babylon
It all started out with a few voicemails. We thought it would be fun to tie a story line in to our voicemail to the Babylon Podcast. Then we decided to do a few more the next week, and the week after that, and then we got sucked into the storyline and Three Edged Sword was born.
Voices of Babylon was set up to provide a home for Three Edged Sword, and possibly for future Babylon 5 related audio projects. It's taking up quite a bit of my time (writing, recording, and production all add up) but it's great fun to do. And if we're doing our jobs at all well it should also be great fun to listen to.
Deep Geeking
Like Voices of Babylon, but in a different way, Deep Geeking was born from the Babylon Podcast. More to the point the Babylon Podcast is where the phrase "Deep Geeking" was first used. Of course someone (though oddly enough not Summer Brooks) had to go and register the domain name. Once that was done it was only a matter of time for a site to spring up.
In spite of its parentage Deep Geeking is not a podcast, or any other form of audio production. Instead it's a place for essays on all things geek. As of this writing, in August 2008, it's just getting started, but it's already great fun. Right now the main focus seems to be on science fiction, and mainly TV and Film within Science Fiction. But that may change, as the subjects of geekdom are spread far and wide.
